Winnipeg police have taped off part of a north end intersection late Thursday afternoon.
Officers and several cruisers were seen in the parking lot of the Robin’s Donuts at Selkirk Ave. and Salter Street just before 5 pm.
An ambulance was also seen pulling away.
Witnesses, who didn’t want to be identified, said emergency crews were performing CPR on someone. One man told Global News the victim had been in a struggle with police officers before being injured.
There was no one immediately available at the Winnipeg Police Service to provide information.
Employees of the donut shop were being prevented from going inside.
