City hall commissions a study on sharing habits of Vancouverites

Vancouver residents are getting noticed for how well they share with others – cars, gardens, tools, you name it!

An example of Vancouverites remembering how to share — something we learn when we’re little, and many lose in adulthood when self-sufficiency takes over. For many, it makes social, financial and environmental sense.

In fact, the sharing game has becoming so mainstream, city hall has someone specifically looking into how far this cozy trend can go.

Partially funded by a grant from the city of Vancouver, a study has started and is looking to determine what we’re sharing and what we should be.

Geoff Hastings reports.
