Manitoba man sues former tenant for purchasing business domain names

WINNIPEG – A Manitoba lawsuit is all about an alleged case of revenge in the digital age.

The president of the White Lotus Pet Spa in Winnipeg is suing a former tenant who has allegedly purchased Internet domain names for the business.

In his statement of claim, Patrick Maxwell says that James Robertson reserved the two website addresses to punish him.

Maxwell is suing to have the domain names turned over to him and for damages.

Robertson is alleged to have purchased the domain names two days after police escorted him from a room he was renting from Maxwell.

The allegations have not been proven in court and no statement of defence has been filed. (CJOB)
