Thanks to the quick action of his wife, it’s fortunate no one was injured when a man driving a pick-up towing a travel trailer suffered a medical emergency in Kelowna Monday afternoon.
The man suddenly fell unconscious while travelling on Westpoint Drive in the Mission neighbourhood.
His wife quickly took control of the vehicle and steered it to a stop in a parking area. But not before it struck a fire hydrant and light standard, damaging both the truck and the trailer.
The driver was taken to hospital by ambulance.
