Nova Scotia RCMP are investigating the carjacking of a vehicle in Tracadie, N.S. and have arrested two people in connection to the incident.
Police say a dispatcher received a call at 2:57 a.m. Thursday where they heard a woman screaming and tires squealing.
Officers eventually arrived on the scene at Highway 4, finding a man and a woman. They told police three men had taken their car at knife point.
The man and the woman were taken to hospital by EHS. The man was seriously injured while the woman had received minor injuries.
According to police, the vehicle was taken after a physical altercation with the male victim. The car was later found abandoned in the Pomquet area and taken to the Inverness District Detachment. Police will be conducting a forensic examination.
RCMP say the knife used was also found and seized.
Two men have been arrested and police are still looking for the third.
