A dangerous prank has been caught on video in the Montreal metro.

The video, which was recently posted online and has since gone viral, shows what appears to be two men riding the train while standing between two metro cars.

The video was uploaded to a Facebook page called “Spotted: STM” on Tuesday. By Wednesday evening, it had been viewed more than 59,000 times.

Montreal’s transit authority, the STM, issued a statement on Wednesday saying “this kind of behaviour goes against regulation R-036.

“It is important to remind people that this type of behaviour is dangerous.”

From the video, it appears the incident happened on board the older metros which sometimes have unlocked doors between cars. There are also small platforms outside each car that can be accessed from outside, but not easily.

There are no gaps between the new Azur metro cars and passengers can move freely between them.

The STM said they are not investigating because they can’t tell from the video where or when the incident happened or who the two people are.
