Toronto police are investigating a shooting at a North York neighbourhood Tuesday evening, which injured three people.
Police said they received reports of multiple gunshots heard in the Sheppard Avenue and Jane Street area around 5 p.m.
Kids were reportedly outside in the area at the time of the shooting and a black SUV was witnessed fleeing the scene.
A short time later, officers on scene confirmed a firearm had been discharged.
Police said around 5:30 p.m. two victims were located. A man and woman were taken to hospital, but paramedics said it wasn’t by ambulance.
An update from police around 6:15 p.m. said a third victim had been located and that all victims suffered non-life-threatening injuries.
Officers on scene continue to search for a black SUV in their investigation.
