RCMP have located the body of a missing 70-year-old man who had been missing since Tuesday.
In an email to Global News, police say they officers responded just before 10:30 p.m. July 4 to a call about an “overdue” person. Inverness District RCMP were told the man had been working on his farm and did not return at the end of the day.

Police conducted an extensive search of the 400-plus acre farm with the help of police dog services, a Department of Natural Resources helicopter, Cape Breton Ground Search and Rescue (GSAR), Pictou County GSAR and Colchester GSAR.
The 70-year-old man was found early Thursday morning on the property.
Police say the investigation is ongoing.
