Alec Baldwin lampoons both Bill O’Reilly, Donald Trump in SNL segment

Alec Baldwin showed his range on Saturday Night Live this weekend as after opening the show as U.S. President Donald Trump before doing a second turn as Fox News host Bill O’Reilly.

O’Reilly has been in the news recently after news surfaced he had paid millions of dollars to several women to settle allegations of sexual harassment.

On SNL, O’Reilly promised to address “the scandal everyone’s been talking about all week. A scandal no one thought I’d have the guts to address head on. The shocking allegations of the abuse of power that have been leveled against the Obama administration.

“Let’s bring in Fox investigative reporter Laura Dewey with an update.”

After a pause, O’Reilly speaks into his earpiece. “What’s that? Laura no longer works for the company? Did she get the check?

“I’m told we do have Fox News analyst Malia Zimmerman in studio who is now reporting live via satellite from exactly 500 yards away.”

O’Reilly then addresses Zimmerman (played by Cecily Strong), “Malia, you spoke to former Obama security adviser Susan Rice and you told her I believe she illegally leaked the names of Trump’s media to the people, correct?”

Zimmerman responded, “Yes and she denied it.”

“So you asked her point blank and she said …,” O’Reilly asks.

“No.”

“OK but when she said ‘no’, what was her vibe?”

“Her vibe?” Zimmerman wonders.

“Yeah like when she said ‘no’ did her eyes say ‘yes’? Sometimes they will do that,” O’Reilly said.

“No they just said ‘no’,” she answered.

“Ok was it like a firm ‘no’ or was it like a ‘convince me’?”

An exasperated Zimmerman says “Oh man can we do that thing we talked about?” before producers blur her face and muffle her voice.

Her face is blurred.

O’Reilly also welcomed a surprise guest – the man who came to his defence this week – as Trump, (also played by Baldwin) joined the show.
