Rain, snow and freezing rain are on the way for parts of central Saskatchewan Friday night into Saturday.
Freezing Rain Warning
A freezing rain warning has been issued north of Saskatoon for the Prince Albert, Melfort, Nipawin, Wynyard, Humboldt, Canora and Hudson Bay areas.
Significant freezing rain will begin in the western warning areas later this evening and move eastward through the night before improving late Saturday morning as a low pressure system moves through.
Environment Canada says utility outages may occur and surfaces such as highways, roads, walkways and parking lots may become icy and slippery.
Snowfall Warning
Environment Canada has issued a snowfall warning for the La Ronge, Prince Albert National Park, Flin Flon and Pelican Narrows areas for 10 to 15 centimetres of snow by Saturday evening.
Snow associated with the system will move into central Saskatchewan near midnight and then intensify on Saturday before conditions improve Saturday evening as the system moves into Manitoba.
Extreme southern sections of the warned areas may see some freezing rain mixed with the falling snow.
Prepare for quickly changing and deteriorating travel conditions. Visibility may be suddenly reduced at times in heavy snow.

Saskatoon Forecast
Today
It was a cool start to the day in Saskatoon with temperatures dropping back to -6 overnight before warming up to +3 by noon.
-10 is what it felt like with wind chill this morning under mostly cloudy skies in the city with dense fog reducing visibility to near zero and prompting a fog advisory in west-central Saskatchewan that has since been ended.
Mostly cloudy skies will stick around for the rest of the day as winds pick up and we warm up to an afternoon high in mid-single digits.
Tonight
A low pressure system will build in from Alberta tonight and bring with it a good chance of showers in the Saskatoon area overnight as we drop back to a low a few degrees above freezing.
Southeasterly winds will pick up this evening with sustained speeds up to 30 km/h with gusts upwards of 50 km/h.
Saturday
Warm air will be drawn in with the system during the day with a daytime high in double digits to kick off the final weekend of March!
Heavy snowfall is likely in northern Saskatchewan with 10 to 15 centimetres in La Ronge, but Saskatoon just has a slight chance of showers in the morning before clouds clear out later in the afternoon.
Sunday
Sunday will be slightly cooler behind the system under partly to mostly cloudy skies with a slight chance of mixed precipitation as a weak disturbance keeps conditions unsettled during the day.
Winds will ease back with temperatures topping out in mid-to-high single digits for an afternoon high.
Work Week Outlook
The work week will start off on a mostly cloudy note before seeing some mid-week sunshine and a return to the clouds on Thursday with daytime highs in high single digits until mid-week when they bounce back up into double digits.
