Kelowna RCMP have cordoned a section of a vacant lot near Prospera Place following the discovery of a body.
All police are saying right now is that the body is that of a man and they’re working on identifying the individual.
The body was found at around 6 p.m. by an RCMP officer who knew the victim and had not seen him for some time.
Sources tell Global Okanagan the officer found the victim at the top of a dirt pile where the homeless have been known to set up camps.
The body was removed last night.
Police were still at the scene this morning.
