Halifax Regional Police say a 24-year-old was found unresponsive Sunday afternoon in Dartmouth after ingesting fentanyl.
Police were called to a residence in the 0-100 block of Robert Drive shortly after 2 p.m.
The man was stabilized by paramedics and taken to hospital, where police say his condition is improving.
Police say due to the dangers associated with fentanyl exposure they called in experts to properly collect and stabilized the remaining fentanyl found inside the residence, so that it can be properly disposed of.
