Surrey RCMP is still investigating a suspicious occurrence involving a vehicle in Cloverdale.
Starting Dec. 5, officers were called to a vehicle near 184 Street and 60 Avenue, which was believed to have experienced a significant malfunction, initially thought to be a technical fault.

It was later discovered that the damage to the single vehicle was possibly caused by a localized explosion.
The investigation is now being led by the Surrey RCMP’s Serious Crime Unit with help from the Integrated Forensic Identification Service and the Explosive Disposal Unit. Police are still examining the vehicle and are looking for evidence at the scene. They will also be looking for surveillance video and any potential witnesses.
