The largest aircraft ever made by Bombardier is about to carry passengers after being delivered to Air Baltic.
The first CSeries CS300 was handed over to the Latvian carrier Monday at the aerospace manufacturer’s plant at Mirabel airport north of Montreal.

The US$85.7-million plane designed to carry between 130 and 150 passengers will make its maiden commercial flight Dec. 14 between Riga and Amsterdam.

The delivery comes five months after the smaller CS100 began flying with Swiss International Air Lines.
Bombardier (TSX:BBD.B) continues to await word on its request from a year ago for US$1 billion of funding from the Canadian government.

Bombardier has now delivered four of the 360 firm CSeries orders, which includes 235 for the CS300.
