Braylon Shmyr scored his second of the night 35 seconds into overtime as the Saskatoon Blades slipped past the Kootenay Ice 3-2 on Saturday in Western Hockey League (WHL) action.
Mason McCarty also scored and Wyatt Sloboshan assisted on all three Saskatoon (8-9-1) goals. Logan Flodell made 36 saves for the win.

Vince Loschiavo and Zak Zborosky scored for the Ice (3-11-4), who are on a three-game skid. Jakob walter kicked out 34-of-37 shots in a losing cause.
The Blades head to Edmonton to take on the Oil Kings on Thursday.
