Halifax Regional Police are investigating a second case of chocolate bar tampering in the city.

A 13-year-old girl was going through her Halloween candy when she allegedly found a razor blade inserted inside the wrapper of a chocolate bar. Police say the girl was trick-or-treating in the area of Albro Lake Road and Lancaster Drive on Monday.

Investigators are also looking into claims that a 12-year-old boy was cut on his finger by a razor blade that was shoved inside a candy bar. In that instance, the boy was trick-or-treating in the Spryfield area.

Police are encouraging both parents and children to be vigilant in checking Halloween treats and report any candy tampering to police.
