Halloween has come and gone once again. It’s a fleeting opportunity to dress up as your favourite pop-culture character or something very spooky, and it can also show off your creativity.

Dozens of celebrities pulled out all the stops with their Halloween costumes and they ran the gamut, ranging from presidential candidates to characters from your favourite TV shows. Often with money and creative teams at their disposal, sometimes celebs’ costumes can really blow our minds; other times, their costumes just blow.

Khloe Kardashian as Storm

Kardashian dressed up as Storm from X-Men this year, complete with silver hair and piercing coloured contacts. Many people on social media mocked the look of her costume, saying she could have put together something more refined, especially since Beyoncé slayed the same costume last year.

Lena Dunham as Donald Trump pun

Dunham opted for an anti-Trump costume this year. The Girls star’s costume was inspired by comments the Republican presidential nominee made in the 2005 Access Hollywood video, when he bragged to Billy Bush about grabbing women “by the p*ssy.”

Taylor Swift as Deadpool

Swift has Ryan Reynolds to thank for her Halloween costume this year, because she dressed as Reynolds’ superhero character from Deadpool. Swift thanked Reynolds over Instagram for letting her borrow the actual outfit he wore in the movie.

Amy Schumer and Ben Hanisch as Dustin and Eleven

Stranger Things inspired many people’s costumes this year, including Amy Schumer and her boyfriend Ben Hanisch. The 35-year-old comedian wore a curly brown wig and a yellow baseball hat to portray Dustin from the hit Netflix series, while Hanisch rocked Eleven’s look with his shaved head, bloody nose and pink dress.

Heidi Klum and her clones

Everyone waits with bated breath for Heidi Klum’s Halloween costume. This year, she cloned herself five times; she and the copies arrived at her annual costume party at New York City’s Vandal in a box marked “Made in Germany.” All six ladies wore champagne bodysuits and nude knee-high boots.

Kylie Jenner as Christina Aguilera

Kylie Jenner perfectly recreated Christina Aguilera’s look from her Dirrty music video, including the highlighted extensions, facial piercings and the chaps. Jenner received some props from Aguilera when she reposted the photo of Jenner on her own social media and captioned it, “‘YAASSSSS’…..Killin it @kyliejenner yes to dirrty 2016!! Get it girrrl!!!”
