The new documentary “Over 18” asks an important question – is enough being done to protect children from viewing pornography online.
Jared Brock, the co-director of the documentary, said today’s pornography isn’t the same as years ago.
“This isn’t 1953 Playboy we’re talking about,” Brock said.
“This is overwhelming filmed violence against women, and our 12-year-olds have free, instant access around the clock.”

According to statistics, 90 per cent of boys and 60 per cent of girls have seen porn before the age of 18, with boys seeing porn by the age of 12, on average.
In the above interview with Lisa Dutton, Brock explains the documentary was recently viewed by parliamentarians from all five federal parties as MPs debate motion M-47, which would require Health Canada to study the public health effects of online violent and degrading sexually explicit material.
