Lindsay Lohan recently celebrated the opening of her new eponymously named nightclub in Athens, Greece, and in honour of the occasion she decided she wanted to help Syrian refugees by sending them energy drinks.

According to Page Six the star will give away free Mintaine beverages to those living in refugee camps because it’s better than doing nothing at all.

“There’s hardly food, water or anything” at the camps, said the Lohan insider, “so at this point sending anything is helpful. This is all part of Lindsay’s mission to help refugees.”

An insider also told the publication that the energy drink is described as a “blue caffeine lemonade” that tastes “woohoo :-)” and is made with “no taurin, no aspartam, no inosit.”

For the 2016 election, she very publicly announced she was endorsing Hillary Clinton.

That may have something to do with the fact that Donald Trump made some disturbing comments about the star in 2004.

On Oct. 14, CNN uncovered a recording of Trump discussing the sexual viability of the Mean Girls actress on The Howard Stern Show. They discuss whether or not her red hair and freckles make her f***able and conclude that, because of her relationship with her father, the star is “deeply troubled and therefore great in bed.”

A rep for Lohan responded to the Trump tape by saying, “Right now, Lindsay is choosing to focus on the positive things happening in her life and has decided to disregard the comments made about her by presidential nominee Donald Trump. She is focusing on helping children around the world in need and that’s where her passion is.”

Her Freaky Friday co-star Jamie Lee Curtis echoed Lohan’s rep’s comments by saying, “It was incredibly disturbing to hear someone that is up for the [presidency] of the United States talking about a teenage girl in the way that he did. It was disgusting and she deserves people’s support. How dare anyone, let alone a man in that position, make comments like that when clearly she was having difficulties in her life.”

Curtis also praised her former co-star for her recovery and for raising awareness of the Syrian Refugee Crisis, adding: “She’s doing beautiful relief work with children in Syria.”

Lohan is set to start in an upcoming horror movie titled, Shadow Within. The film follows a private investigator’s journey as she solves the murder of her uncle, all while keeping secret that she’s a werewolf.
