A vigil was held on Wednesday night in Quebec City over the alleged numerous sexual assaults at the Laval University Alphonse-Marie-Parent residence.
Hundreds of students gathered near the dormitory to stand in solidarity with the apparent victims.
The crowd chanted ‘resign’ repeatedly at the Laval University rector Denis Brière.
In attendance were ministers Hélène David, Lise Thériault and Sébastien Proulx.
Since the first alleged case of sexual assault where a suspect broke into the student residents last Friday, 14 more have come forward.
Quebec City police are now investigating 15 cases of breaking and entering and sexual assault.
