It was an unusual case of spilled milk on Highway 97 in Kelowna Saturday night.
A Dairyland truck caught fire on the side of the highway at about 10:30pm, briefly closing the eastbound road near Richter street as crews fought the flames.
Investigators believe a problem with the brakes caused the fire.
The man driving wasn’t injured; he actually help remove the tractor cab from the fiery trailer to aid crews who were containing the flames.
Tim Lightfoot of the Kelowna Fire Department said it was a strange call to respond to.
The KFD blocked off three eastbound lanes until the fire was extinguished.
