ST. JOHN’S, N.L. – Newfoundland and Labrador’s premier has announced a major cabinet shuffle affecting nine government departments.
Kathy Dunderdale dropped no one from cabinet in making the new appointments announced today in St. John’s.
The more significant changes saw Felix Collins moved from the justice portfolio to Intergovernmental Affairs, while Darin King is the new Justice Minister and is also Government House Leader.
Tom Marshall has been appointed Attorney General in addition to his current job as Finance Minister, while Tom Hedderson moves from transportation to become the Environment Minister.
Dunderdale also announced the establishment of the Office of Public Engagement.
She says the new office will make more extensive use of social media as part of government public consultations.
