A 35-year-old man is recovering in hospital Thursday morning after he was stabbed overnight in Montreal’s Mercier-Hochelaga-Maisonneuve borough.
According to Montreal police spokesperson Caroline Chèvrefils, the man was stabbed to the upper body after getting into an argument with an acquaintance.
Chèvrefils said it happened just before midnight at the corner of Liébert and Baillargé streets.
The victim was taken to hospital with non-life-threatening injuries.
No arrests have been made.
Chèvrefils confirmed the victim is known to police.
