Just hours after meeting with Mexican President Enrique Pena Nieto, Donald Trump gave a speech outlining his plans on immigration and border security.
Speaking in Phoenix, Ariz. Tuesday night, the Republican presidential nominee again reiterated his intention to build “a great wall along the southern border” between the United States and Mexico, before stating “Mexico will pay for the wall” but “they don’t know it yet. One-hundred per cent.”

This must come have come as a shock to Pena Nieto as an aide to the president earlier told a reporter from Reuters that his boss had told Trump Mexico would not pay for the barrier at their meeting.

This news emerged shortly after Trump told reporters there was no discussion over payment.
“”We did discuss the wall,” Trump said. “We didn’t discuss payment of the wall — that’ll be for a later date.”

On Tuesday night, Trump went on to describe his wall as “an impenetrable, physical, tall, powerful, beautiful southern wall.
“We will use the best technology including above and below ground sensors.”
Trump went on to outline other areas of his immigration plan suggesting he would create a “deportation task force” that would be “focused on identifying and quickly removing the most dangerous criminal illegal aliens in America.”
He went on to say “maybe they’ll be able to deport her,” joking over the idea his task force would deport Hillary Clinton.

The Republican nominee claimed he will order the immediate detention of all known immigrants in the U.S. illegally who have been arrested for crimes.
Trump said on the first day in office he would “issue detainers for illegal immigrants who are arrested” and initiate immediate proceedings to remove them.
For people caught crossing the border illegally, Trump referenced the 1950s-era “Operation Wetback.” He said that “we will take them great distances” instead of sending them just across the U.S. border.

Trump said, “We will take them to the country where they came from.”
Trump also declared that illegal migrants would be unable to obtain legal status or citizenship and must return to their country of origin and apply to re-enter.
He also pledged to impose an “ideological certification” of potential immigrants to the United States, to include questions about honour killings, women, gays and radical Islam.
