WINNIPEG — A confirmed ammonia leak forced a temporary closure of the Granite Curling Club Sunday night.
Winnipeg fire crews were called to the scene for reports of a gas smell in the area just before 7:30 p.m.

When crews arrived, the hazmat unit was called and the curling club was taped off.
Fire crews confirm the building was empty at the time and that there were no injuries.
The area remained closed Monday morning and there is no word on what caused the leak.
