Police searching for Ontario road rage suspect after driver punched unconscious

Police in Niagara Region are asking the public for help in identifying an assault suspect wearing a Toronto Blue Jays jersey, after a road rage incident that left a man beaten unconscious on the side of the road.

Niagara Regional police said the alleged victim was driving west on Lake Street near Baker Road in Grimsby, Ont. at around 9:30 p.m. Saturday, when he noticed he was being tailgated by the suspect.

The suspect then allegedly followed the driver westbound before he turned south onto Nelles Road and stopped his vehicle.

Police said the alleged victim then got out of his vehicle and questioned the suspect about why he was following him so closely.

The suspect then exited the vehicle with his passenger and police said he approached the victim and punched him several times in the face until he was unconscious.

Police described the suspect as a white male, standing 6’2″, about 25 to 30 years old with dirty blonde hair, wearing a Toronto Blue Jays Jersey and driving a dark-coloured sedan.
