Police in Oshawa, Ont. say they have seized an assault rifle and various other weapons after a raid on a home that led to two arrests.
Durham Regional Police executed a search warrant on a home on Glovers Road, in north-end Oshawa, Thursday.
Police said they seized a .45 calibre assault rifle, an “over capacity magazine” capable of holding 50 rounds of ammunition, a spring-loaded knife, an expandable baton and unspecified drug paraphernalia.

Michael Freeman, 25, and Katlynn Henry, 26, of Oshawa, have both been charged with unauthorized possession of a firearm. Freeman has also been charged with trafficking a controlled substance and breach of probation.
Both suspects were held for bail hearings and police are asking anyone with new information to contact Det.-Const. Campbell of the Intelligence Branch at 1-888-579-1520 ext. 5852.
