Jean-Pierre Brabant, a spokesperson with Montreal police, said the other woman remains in hospital in critical condition.
The collision happened at around 2:10 p.m.
“The truck was heading north on Parc when it made an impact with two pedestrians,” Brabant said.
“They were rushed to hospital in critical condition.”
According to Brabant, the two women were ages 63 and 66.
“Investigators from the accident squad are working to figure out what led to the accident and meet with witnesses,” Brabant said.
