Truck rollover on Highway 55 near Canwood, Sask. sends 2 to hospital

Two people were hospitalized following a single-vehicle crash just south of Canwood, Sask., on Saturday.

At around 4:10 a.m. CT, emergency services were called to the rollover on Highway 55.

Shellbrook RCMP’s initial investigation has revealed that the truck left the road, enteredc the opposite ditch and rolled several times.

Both occupants, a 17-year-old girl and a 19-year-old man, were injured and taken to Victoria Hospital in Prince Albert by paramedics with Parkland Ambulance.

The man sustained serious injuries and was transferred to Saskatoon’s Royal University Hospital for treatment.

A forensic collision reconstructionist is assisting with the police investigation.
