On the third day of the Rogers Cup, held at Jarry Park in Montreal, Montreal’s Eugenie Bouchard won against Dominika Cibulkova of Slovakia in 6-2, 6-0.

Bouchard ranked 42nd and Cibulkova ranked 10th going into Wednesday’s match.

Bouchard, 22, was one of two Montrealers facing off in the second round of the women’s tournament, along with Françoise Abanda, 19.

Abanda was knocked out of the women’s tournament by Elina Svitolina of Ukraine.

The match ended with Svitolina winning in two sets in tie-breakers with a score of 7-6.
