Halifax police looking for taxi driver accused of groping 22-year-old woman

HALIFAX – Police in Halifax are looking for a cab driver who’s accused of groping a woman in his van.

Investigators say a 22-year-old woman told them she hailed a cab early Sunday morning and that as she was getting out of the vehicle on Leaman Drive in Dartmouth the taxi driver touched her outside her clothing.

The driver is described as a soft-spoken Middle Eastern man, with a thin build, black hair, a scruffy beard and a big nose.

Police are asking anyone with information about the incident to contact them.
