Ontario will host its first public meeting to engage the public on issues related to systemic racism Thursday evening in Toronto.
The meeting will focus on anti-black racism, as well as Islamophobia, anti-indigenous racism and racism experienced by other communities.
Premier Kathleen Wynne, Minister Responsible for Anti-Racism Michael Coteau, Education Minister Mitzie Hunter and Mayor John Tory will be among those attending.
The province has said it is committed to holding additional community meetings that will focus on systemic racism.
Upcoming events include communities in Windsor, London, Sudbury, Thunder Bay and Ottawa.
