Pink wrote Céline Dion a song after René Angélil died

Céline Dion is preparing to make music again, six months after the death of her husband, René Angélil.

The singing sensation revealed exciting details about her next album in an interview with Entertainment Tonight on Wednesday.

“I’m already starting to work on an English album,” Dion said. “Pink wrote me a song.”

“She is phenomenal. I love her for her talent, for her strength, for her focus, the person she is,” the French-Canadian singer said of Pink. “At the [Billboard Music Awards], when I saw her, I said, ‘For you to take the time to really write a song, to give me a tool, a piece of luggage to help me to move forward to walk to keep going…'”

The song is titled, Recovering, and it was written to help Dion “move forward” from the tragic death of her husband.

The My Heart Will Go On singer told ET that she helps her kids get through the sorrow by telling them Angélil has “gone up” into the sky.

Dion says that the support of her fans has helped her make it through.

When asked about her late husband, Dion said, “He’s good. He doesn’t suffer anymore. I think he’s enjoying looking down.”

Angélil died at the age of 73 in January after a lengthy battle with throat cancer.

Dion is expected to release her first French album in four years titled, Encore un Soir, on August 26.

She will be performing a series of concerts at the Bell Centre in Montreal and the Vidéo Centre in Quebec City late July and early August.
