Riders holdout Josiah St. John officially joins team

The Saskatchewan Roughriders announced on Monday that the club’s 2016 first round draft choice, Josiah St. John, has officially joined the team after signing last week.

St. John, 24, held out for the Rider’s entire training camp and in early June, reports surfaced that he had requested a trade.

St. John spent the last three years with the University of Oklahoma.

In 2015 St. John played seven NCAA conference games, starting four at right tackle.

St. John is expected to practice with the team on Monday.
