A hacker claiming to have ties to Anonymous has been busy hijacking pro-Islamic State Twitter accounts to share messages of LGBTQ support, in a show of solidarity for those killed in the attack on a gay nightclub in Orlando.
The hacker – who goes by the Twitter handle @WauchulaGhost – has taken responsibility for breaking into many pro-ISIS Twitter accounts, changing their profile pictures to a sign that reads, “I’m gay and proud,” and sharing links to gay porn sites.
After trolling the account by tweeting messages like, “Hello world, it’s time I share with you a little secret … I’m gay and proud,” the hacker then shares a message dedicating the hack to the families of those lost at Pulse Nightclub Sunday.
Pictures once showing jihadis or the black flags of the Islamic State on the account were replaced by rainbow flags, or gay couples in bed.
Most of the hacked accounts have been suspended; however, @WauchulaGhost appears to document each hack with a screenshot.
The gunman in Sunday’s deadly attack, Omar Mateen, pledged alliance to the so-called Islamic State during the shooting that left 49 dead.

ISIS commonly uses Twitter to recruit foreign fighters, spread propaganda, issue threats to Western governments and spread footage of the gruesome murders of its captives.
