Toronto doctor charged after police say woman sexually assaulted during physical

A 53-year-old Toronto doctor has been charged after police say he sexually assaulted a woman during a physical exam.

Toronto police said a 34-year-old woman went to Francis Li’s clinic in the Pape Avenue and Danforth Avenue area on June 4.

Once there, police said the doctor sexually assaulted the woman during an examination.

Li was arrested Tuesday and charged with one count of sexual assault. He was scheduled to appear in a Toronto court Wednesday.

Police said they are concerned there may be other alleged victims.

Li has been registered as a doctor with the College of Physicians & Surgeons of Ontario since 1990, after graduating from the University of Toronto in 1989.
