MONTREAL – Aéroports de Montréal taxi drivers have some new competition from electric vehicle company, Téo Taxi, the first fully-electric car service.

Téo Taxi features a fleet of ten Tesla vehicles that will be located on the departure level of Gate 6.

Cabs can be ordered through the mobile application on both Google Play and the App Store.

The service will be available until November 2017, when the pilot project authorized by Transports Quebec will end.

“By launching this new service, Téo Taxi is taking a big step toward becoming a major industry player,” noted Taxelco CEO Marc Petit.

“We’ve expanded our service area, integrated advertising domes, and added new vehicles to our fleet. We’ve also made service available 24/7.”
