MONTREAL – A 20-year-old man in custody following what police are describing as an attempted murder in Pointe-aux-Trembles Sunday morning.
At 2:40 a.m. police received a 911 call about a man suffering from stab wounds in a home on 42nd Avenue near Victoria Street.
When officers arrived, they located the injured man inside the home.
He was rushed to hospital where he was treated for upper body injuries. He has since been discharged from hospital.
A 20-year-old man was arrested at the scene and has been detained for questioning.
While police have said the two men do know each other, they have yet to determine a motive for the attack.
A perimeter was erected on 42nd Avenue to allow crime scene technicians to go over the crime scene.
The investigation is ongoing.
