Vancouver Police say officers were responding to a call in the area when they were told of a car fire.

Witnesses told Global News they saw a vehicle with a Quebec licence plate on fire in the parking lot of a McDonald’s restaurant in the area.

Police say officers tried to keep the public away from the fire when they were confronted by a man with a knife. According to police, “the man allegedly came at the officers and shots were fired.”
