Cape Breton Regional Police are investigating the death of a 45-year-old man found inside a home on Gunn Street in Sydney, N.S.
Officers were called to the home on Sunday to do a well-being check on the man and found him dead. It is unknown how long the man was deceased before he was located by police.
An autopsy is scheduled for tomorrow in Halifax. At that point, police say they will be able to rule whether or not the death is a criminal matter.
The identity of the man is not being released pending notification of next of kin.
Police say they will not be releasing any further details about the man’s death until the autopsy is complete.
