She’s dressed in skin-tight outfits in her role as Psylocke in the latest X-Men film, but what did Olivia Munn do fit into them?

The 35-year-old actress is crediting her 12-pound weight loss and toned figure to eating healthy and exercise.

“My intention was to just get as fit and healthy as I could be, and for myself,” she told Women’s Health.

“By the time I was finished [filming], I was 12 pounds less than I started…it’s a big difference because I started working out every single day, and then I also started getting into eating 20-80, where 80 per cent of your diet is fruits and vegetables and 20 per cent is whatever,” she told the magazine.

“If I wanted the fans to see Psylocke and get a good fight scene for her and for the fans, I knew I had to go do it myself. So I started training every day with Taekwondo and sword and the stunt and wire work and I just ended up losing 12 pounds just from working out every day,” she told People magazine.

Her preparation for the role isn’t as exaggerated as other celebrities: To slim down for her role in Dreamgirls, Beyonce took on the infamous Master Cleanse, also known as the Lemonade Diet.

In that case, she subsisted on a liquid diet of water, mixed with fresh lemon juice, maple syrup and cayenne pepper. She lost 20 pounds.

Anne Hathaway followed an almost vegan diet leading up to her role as Catwoman in The Dark Knight Rises. She joked to U.S. outlets at the time that she ate “kale and dust” to squeeze into her Catwoman getup.

“I’ll tell you what I couldn’t have: no carbs, no sugar, no dairy, no refined sugar. No nothing,” he told CNN in another interview.
