Justin Bieber has decided that he will no longer take pictures with fans who approach him in public.
The Canadian pop star made the announcement on Instagram Tuesday to let fans know, “If you happen to see me out somewhere know that I’m not gonna take a picture.”
In his announcement, he described how constantly taking pictures with fans makes him feel like a “zoo animal.”
(It’s a sad irony, then, that just over a week ago, Bieber posed for a photo with a tiger from a local zoo, which was attached to a chain and a rope leash.)

In his statement he writes, “It has gotten to the point that people wont even say hi to me or recognize me as a human, I feel like a zoo animal.”
Bieber continued to say, “I realize people will be disappointed but I don’t owe anybody a picture. and people who say “but I bought ur album” know that you got my album and you got what you paid for AN ALBUM!”
After posting the statement, the Sorry singer received a lot of negative responses from his fans.
Bieber took a screenshot of one fan’s comment and included a personal response in his caption when he posted it to Instagram.
The fan wrote, “Your fans are the reason you are as successful as you are,” and “get over it.”

“Years ago it was impossible to even take a picture at anytime not everyone was accessible to a camera now everyone has a camera phone and Now it’s just a different thing. If you think setting boundaries is being a douche I’m the biggest douche around but I think it’s smart and will be the only way I last. I wanna enjoy life and not be a slave to the world and their demands of what they think I need to do!” read Bieber’s follow-up response to the angry fan.
The 22-year-old singer had the support of rapper, T.I., who reposted his statement on Instagram with a caption explaining that he knows “the exact same thing.”
“I know a lot of people gon say u tripping…Life should be lived..not recorded. But I’ll still take a pic from time to time..,” T.I. writes in his caption supporting Bieber.
In March, Justin had cancelled all his future meet-and-greets with fans on his Purpose tour.
