Suspected wildfire arsons in Peace region: BC Wildlife investigators

BC Wildlife investigators are appealing to the public for help after identifying a string of suspected wildfire arsons in the Peace region.

Investigators and Natural Resources officers said they found evidence that at least 10 separate wildfires, in three different areas, have been deliberately set.

In some incidences property damage occurred but there have been no reports of injuries, although some fires continue to burn.

Additional conservation officers have been brought in to help the investigation. It is believed the fires are all connected.

Anyone with information about the fires or spots any suspicious activity is asked to call the Report All Poachers and Polluters at 1-877-952-7277.
