Lumby will have to wait until June

LUMBY — Hockey fans in the Okanagan won’t find out until next month where the NHL pre-season hockey game will be played in connection with Lumby winning the Kraft Hockeyville title.

Mayor Kevin Acton says the NHL and Kraft have decided they will release all the details during the Lumby Days celebrations in June with the likely announcement comming Saturday, June 11th.

“It will be likely that we’ll have quite a bit of details on where the game is going to be played, where tickets will be given out and what people can expect from the game and the events that go along with it,” says Acton.

Lumby, Vernon and Kelowna have all been mentioned as potential sites for the contest.
