WINNIPEG – A cyclist is dead and a suspect is on the loose after a hit and run early Tuesday morning.
Police said a cyclist biking eastbound on Nairn Avenue at 1 a.m. was hit by a vehicle from behind.

The driver fled the scene and police are now searching for the suspect.

Nairn Avenue eastbound between Chester and Keenleyside Streets was closed up until 7:30 a.m. Tuesday for police investigations.
