Toronto Maple Leafs forward Nazem Kadri and defencemen Morgan Rielly are staying put after both agreed to six-year contract extensions, the club announced on Wednesday.
Financial terms of the deals were not released.
Rielly, 22, led Leafs defencemen with 9 goals and 27 assists this past season and was recently named to Team Canada’s roster for the 2016 World Hockey Championship.
Kadri led the team in points with 17 goals and 28 assists in the 2015-16 campaign.
The Maple Leafs finished last in the NHL with 69 points but are expected to land a top prospect as the team has the highest odds of winning the draft lottery.
