LONGUEUIL – Last Friday, Taylor Sierant, a Châteauguay mother, claims she was kicked out of a Super C when her two-year-old daughter had a temper tantrum.

After Global News covered the story, dozens of comments came in on the Facebook page.
Should grocery stores and other establishments do more to welcome families?
ISO Famille is an initiative that was created in Longueuil to reward establishments for being family-friendly.
Organization representative Joanne Bélisle said the project hands out certification for family-oriented businesses.
Being family-friendly includes having parking spots reserved for families and pregnant women, as well as bathrooms suitable for children.
Bélisle said there are 114 certified establishments in Longueuil alone, including restaurants, boutiques, CLSCs and even grocery stores.
“This is about will from the establishments to let families everywhere know that they’re welcome,” she said.
Representatives from the Super C in Châteauguay that allegedly asked Sierant to leave issued an apology and told Global News they’re investigating.
They hope to come to a conclusion in the coming days.
