Police are hoping to identify a group of boys in connection with a violent carjacking at an underground parking lot in Scarborough on Tuesday night.

Investigators said a 32-year-old woman was followed into an underground parking garage by three boys and struck on the head with a large stick in the Lawrence Avenue and Galloway Road area just before midnight.

The suspects then allegedly stole the woman’s purse and her car, a grey BMW with the licence plate BTPC135, and fled in an SUV. Police said both vehicles have since been recovered and the woman was taken to hospital with non-life-threatening injuries.
