An important reminder for TransLink customers today – the full fare gate closure at all SkyTrain stations will begin today. All gates will be closed by April 8.

Until now, at least one gate at each station has remained open so passengers were not required to tap in or tap out with the cards.

Extra staff will be on hand today at all SkyTrain and SeaBus stations to help people with physical disabilities. If staff are not available, one gate will stay open.

This latest phase of the rollout is happening despite a system failure on Friday, which caused all Millennium and Expo Line fare gates to close for 20 minutes.
