According to NBC News, The CHP officers’ attempts to capture the wandering dog were met with resistance until they were able to box it in.

Breaking news from Canada and around the world sent to your email, as it happens.

CHP are trying to find the dog’s owner through social media, asking the owners to contact them immediately.

“Missing a chihuahua?” CHP San Francisco tweeted. “Little guy led us on quite a chase this morning on the Bay Bridge. Pls contact if he’s yours”

NBC News reported that if no one claims the Chihuahua within a week, the CHP says they will put the little guy up for adoption.
